Donnie "Pop" McGhee Sr.

July 22, 1952 - May 22, 2022

Donnie W. "Pop" McGhee Sr., 69, of departed this life on Sunday, May 22, 2022, after a brief illness.

Born in Gretna, Va., on July 22, 1952, a son of the late Billy McGhee and Hilda Dalton Brown, Donnie worked as a maintenance man for Johnson Realty and was of the Baptist Faith. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast.

He married Gail Williams McGhee, who survives of the residence.

Survivors also include a daughter, Tracy Lynn McGhee; two sons, Bradley McGhee (Deborah) and Donnie W. "Spike" McGhee Jr. (Cheyenne); two sisters, Betty Bravo and Carolyn Kendrick; two brothers, James and Roger McGhee, and 16 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Jon-Patrick McGhee; a brother, Oscar Dalton; and a grandson, Marshall McGhee.

A private service will be held at a later date.
