Not sure what to say?

April 27, 2006

To Melvin's Family - Melvin was a kind, loving, and gentle man. All the years I knew him, I never heard Melvin raise his voice. Since I have raised seven children of my own, I am sure there were times he was quite stressed. He was a "friend" to my family for over sixty years. He was a devoted family man. Please rest assured that his soul rests with Jesus. May God Bless each of you. Sandra Keen Dick (Adams Family)

Tommy, Carlie, Jean, I can't tell you how sorry I am to hear of your father's passing. He will always hold a special place in my heart as "Melvin's Store" was THE place to be while I was growing up. I will always remember the backyard circuses and the other performances that all the kids would put on in order to earn a couple of dimes, nickels, and quarters to take to "Melvin's" to get penny candy. He will always hold a special place in my heart as all of you do too. May all of your memories fill your hearts and God's love fill the void in your lives....Lot's of love,

A hero to me

a father of morals

who always knows what to say

you'll be with me no matter what

even though 24 hours without you is a never ending day

things changed

which may never be forgotten

no more bullets can be shot

no more are shone

no more can wound

you're always there when I need you most

you're my father and an even more wonderful person to be

because no matter what

you're a hero to me

We all go through a horrific course

but somewhere in the world

someone has it worse

I have you and others

that are near

you and others that actually care

the sound of your voice makes my day

that's when I know I'll be okay

a father with great morals and heart

love won't be broken

we'll never be torn apart

someone to look up to when it's you I see

because no matter what

you're a hero to me

You are always there

to hold me tight

you are always there

in the middle of the night

when I am down you make me feel good

when I need someone to be near

count on you I would

and still and forever I always will

because always and forever

I'll love you still

you're always in my heart

so stronger my heart'll be

'cause no matter what

you're a hero to me
