Alice Wilde Obituary

BALLINGER Alice Cecilia Wilde, 84, of Bethel passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010, in Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo. She was born Nov. 13, 1925, in Rowena to Ben and Frances (Buxkemper) Moeller. Alice and Bennie W. Wilde were married on April 7, 1948, in Rowena and the couple farmed in the Bethel, Millersview, Wall and St. Lawrence area all their lives. Mr. Wilde preceded her in death Sept. 30, 2008. She was a homemaker and devoted her time and energy to raising a hard-working, loving family. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Olfen and a member of Christian Mothers. Alice loved having a beautiful yard and worked diligently on it. She also enjoyed preparing and serving delicious meals, which were definitely appreciated by family and friends, and she was especially well-known for her homemade cookies. She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers Edwin, Felix, and Norbert Moeller; and sisters Isabella Rollwitz, Olivia Schwertner, Cordula Beimer, Leona Book and Gladys Multer. Alice is survived by her children, Judy Appelt and husband Larry of Hallettsville, Fred Wilde and wife Debra of Ballinger, Ann Nobles and husband Nickie of Katemcy and Karla Wilde and Joe Wilde both of San Angelo. Also surviving are grandchildren Derek, Kelli and Scott Appelt, Brooke, Clint and Gina Wilde and Frances Nobles; sisters-in-law Velma Wilde of Rowena, Cordula Wilde of Wall and Mary Moeller of Ballinger; and brother-in-law Roman Multer of Rowena. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday, June 25, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Olfen. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 26, at St. Boniface Church with the Rev. Bob Baden celebrating. Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Church Cemetery. The family wishes to express thanks to Dr. Carl Anderton and staff, Dr. Orloff Monaghan and staff, Dr. Glen McFerrin, the staff of Ballinger Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center and private caregivers Beulah, Florence and Betty. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Boniface Cemetery or the St. Boniface Seminary Burse. Services are under the direction of Lange Funeral Home of Ballinger. I'm so sorry for your loss.Your dad ,over the years,always had good stories about their trips to Mexico and NV. and what a wonderful cook she was!What a wonderful legacy of love they have left you!

Judy, Fred, Ann, Karla,Joe and families: How saddened I was to learn
of the loss of your sweet mother. I was out of town and didn't learn of her services in time to be there. I have enrolled her and your dad in
