John Terrell Obituary

John Cunningham Terrell, Jr went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on the 6th of May, 2014. John was a radiant Christian and a loving example to his family, church, and many friends. He was an avid reader of his Bible and Christian based commentaries. He also loved a good western novel. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, and especially loved to go to his fishing camp in Pierre Parte, LA. A ceremony celebrating the life of Mr. John C. Terrell Jr will be 11 am Thursday at Riverside Baptist Church, 36890 Hwy 16, Watson, and visitation will begin at 10 am until time of the service; interment with Military Honors will follow at Resthaven Garden of Memories. Mr. Terrell was born in Baton Rouge, LA on June 8, 1923 to the union of John C and Thelma Furnish Terrell. He is preceded in death by his wife Ethel A. Terrell, his parents and sisters Ramona Leggett and Yvonne Sylvester. Survivors include his daughter Betty Slaton (Jerry), his sons John A. Terrell (Barbara) and George G. Terrell (Judy); grandchildren Michelle, Jerry D. "Bubba", Cherie, John P., John J., and George; also survived by 6 great grandchildren. To sign online guest book please visit www.sealefuneral.com.
