Lisa Golding Obituary

Lisa Gaylynn Best Golding, 54, died March 3, 2015 at her home in San Angelo, Texas. Lisa was born August 25, 1960 in Houston, Texas to Miledge and Gay Best. Lisa grew up in Kennard, Texas, where she graduated from high school in 1978. After high school she attended Angelina Community College, and shortly after began her career in mental health services. This decision to help others wove a thread throughout her entire life, and was most recently acknowledged through her commitment to Mosaic, a home for those with special needs. Lisa was a member of The River Church of San Angelo, Texas. She loved spending time with her family and friends, as well as participating in outdoor activities. Lisa was best known for never meeting a stranger and always embracing new faces.

Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Miledge Best; her brother, Arnold Wayne Best; and her infant son, Zachary.

Lisa is survived by her two daughters, Kjisten Miller and husband, Ellis of Fort Worth, Aungelique Golding of San Angelo; her mother, Gay Best Conner and husband Bob, of Crockett; her nieces and nephews; and the rest of her family and friends.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Conner Cemetery in Kennard, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made in Lisa's name to Mosaic located at 5191 S. Bryant Blvd, San Angelo, Texas 76903 or to a charity of your choice.

This is one of the hardest times you will ever have to overcome. Losing someone you have known and loved since you were born has got to be the hardest thing in the world. Your moma will always be with you, she loved you girls so much. I only knew her for a little while, but without a doubt I'll never forget her. You girls will make it thru this, I promise, cuz she will be rite there with you in spirit...God Blesses All His Little Angels

Aung and Kjisten,
I am so sorry for your loss. She truly loved you both and all the people she supported here at Mosaic. I never saw anyone with a stronger work ethic and one who advocated more for the people she worked for. She was not only a voice for the people she supported, but for the people she worked with. Now who is going to holler "HEY T" from down the hall. I will truly miss her and she will be thought of often. Sincerely,

I am deeply saddened by the death of a good person. It is from this sadness that a feeling of gratitude emerges. I feel honored to have known Lisa and blessed that her passing serves as a reminder to me that my time on this beautiful earth is limited and that I should seize the opportunity I have to forgive, share, explore, and love. I can think of no greater way to honor your mother than to live this way. May God's peace give you comfort at this very sad time. Your mom loved you.

So sorry to hear of Lisa's sudden passing. My daughter Debbie resides in one of the Mosaic homes that Lisa managed. Debbie loved Lisa and I could tell Lisa loved her in return. I saw this in all the clients that Lisa oversaw, the love in their faces reflected the love Lisa expressed to them. Lisa had told me that she thought of opening a car dealership, but She felt the lord led her to take care of others in need. We will miss her, and appreciate all she did. Thanks Lisa.
