Katherine Crane Obituary

Katherine Crane, 80 of the Bee Cove community in Fontana Dam, N.C., passed away Friday, Aug. 15, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Katherine was born March 5, 1945, to the late Joseph and Florence Gunter Beasley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jason Davis; brothers, Hudson, Raymond, Jimmy and Gifford Beasley; and sisters, Ollie Beasley, Betty Lou Beasley, Thelma Morrow, Iva Lee Turpin, and Margie Anderson.
A native of Graham County, Katherine wa devoted to her family and her church. She was a member of Welch Cove Primitive Baptist Church.
Katherine's favorite things were going to church, singing and listening to gospel music, gardening, and her most favorite past time was taking care of her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald G. Crane; children, the Rev. Kevin Crane (Shellie) of Robbinsville, N.C., and Krystal C. Davis of Bryson City, N.C.; grandchildren: Madison, Mylee and Taylor Crane, and Eliyanah Jade Davis; great-grandson, Elijah Slade; and sister, Eva Nell Turpin (Beacher) of Fontana Dam, N.C.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025, at Welch Cove Cemetery in Fontana Village, N.C.
The Revs. Dewey Brown, Onley Williams and her son Kevin Crane officiated.
Townson-Smith Funeral Home was honored to serve the Crane family.
