Kathleen DelGreco Obituary

Kathleen Margaret DelGreco

1940-2024

It is with great sadness that the family of Kathleen (Kay) announces her passing away at home on September 12, 2024 surrounded by her immediate family.

Kathleen was born in Hibbing on February 23, 1940 to Oscar Dornack and Kathleen (Rustad) Dornack. The family moved to Chisholm and Kathleen graduated from Chisholm High School in 1957. She was united in marriage to Anthony DelGreco on August 8th, 1959 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chisholm.

The married couple moved to White Bear Lake where Kathleen raised her four children and eventually continued her education. Kathleen's children are Peter (Jonni) DelGreco, Mark DelGreco, Lisa (Warren) Pratt, and Anthony (Rochelle) DelGreco. Kathleen completed her BA and Masters of Social Work and became a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). She had a long career serving in that capacity. After her retirement, Kathleen devoted more time to three of her favorite hobbies, quilting, rug hooking, and reading.

Kathleen is survived by her husband and her children, her 6 grandchildren, her 7 great-grandchildren, and her sister MaryJane (Dornack) Faricy. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Joanne (Dornack) Brownell and Dianne Dornack.

Kathleen's family will be hosting a celebration of her life at a later date.
