Scott Anderson Obituary

Scott John Anderson

Scott J. Anderson, age 55, of Fargo, North Dakota, passed away at his home on June 11, 2025.

Born on September 11, 1969, in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, Scott was the son of John "Jack" and Karen Anderson. He graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1988 and continued his education at the University of Minnesota Duluth and Bemidji State University.

Scott was a thoughtful and creative person who walked his own path. He had a deep love for writing, Dungeons & Dragons, and the joy of playing card, dice, and board games with friends-including cribbage, which he enjoyed sharing and teaching. He was known for his kindness, his desire to help others, and his quiet strength. Scott never wanted to burden anyone and built unique, meaningful relationships with each person in his life.

He is survived by his sisters, Lynn (Jim) Krall and Carrie (Joe) Larson; nephews Jeff Krall, Tony Krall, Jake Larson, and Gabe Larson; as well as many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Karen Anderson.

A Celebration of Scott's Life will be held as an open house on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Klockow Brewing Company, 36 SE 10th Street, Grand Rapids, MN. A short remembrance service will take place during the event. Please bring any memories you have of Scott to share with family and friends.

Interment will be at Hazelwood Cemetery in Blackberry, Minnesota, at a later date.

To honor Scott's memory, donations may be made to The New Life Center in Fargo, North Dakota.
