Ann Wright Obituary

SALT LAKE CITY - Former Great Falls resident Ann Marie (Anderson) Wright, 64, died of cancer Friday at her Salt Lake City home.
Funeral Services are 11 a.m. Thursday in Westminster Ward, 1925 South 1200 East Salt Lake City, Utah, with interment in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service. There will also be a memo-rial service 11 a.m. Saturday in Cascade at the Cascade LDS Branch. Funeral Directors Deseret Mortuary of Salt Lake City is han-dling arrangements.
Ann passed away Dec. 29, 2006, in her home, surrounded by her loving family, after a long, valiant fight with cancer. Ann was born Nov. 13, 1942, in Preston, Idaho, the second daughter of Clyde and Roma Anderson.
She married her eternal com-panion Lawrence David Wright in the Logan LDS Temple on Dec. 18, 1963. Together they are the eternal parents of six children, David Brad, Kevin Lawrence, Todd Andrew, Kandra Ann, Chad Archie and Tenella Kay. She found great joy in welcoming 22 beautiful grandchil-dren into her life, who will miss her greatly.
She graduated from Grace High School in 1961. She attended Weber College and earned an Associates Degree in Cosmetology. She later attended Utah State University, where she became a "True Aggie" with her mister Wright.
She is a faithful servant of the Lord, serving as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her heart and service was with the youth, where she was currently serving as a missionary at the Westminster College Ward. She served in many positions: early morning Seminary, camp cook, primary, Cub Scouts, organist, choir director and activities direc-tor.
She was a great partner to her husband in church, business and love. She "earned" four Eagle Scout ranks and two Young Women's awards. We will greatly miss her love of music, talent of poems, hard work and cinnamon rolls. We love you, mom.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Lawrence; children David (Gentry), Kevin (Lisa), Todd (Anna), Chad (Kristine), Kandra (Shane), Tenella (Damon); and a sister, Connie Davidson of Mesa, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Westminster Ward Missionary Fund, Bishop Johanson 1165 E. Willmington Ave. Suite 205 Salt Lake City, UT 84106.

Larry and Family:

Just wanted to let you know how moved I was at Ann's memorial service. I know she will be missed by so many people. You can't imagine how much you and she have touched my family's life. On my way home to Cut Bank, I reflected on her time in Cut Bank and the impact she made on so many lives. The beautiful silk flower arrangement she orchestrated. I will always think of her when I look at that on the piano in the Relief Society Room. I thought about the horror stories and success stories about seminary we shared together. She had so many great ideas and loved the youth. Larry and Ann's visit to the hospital when Greg was burned. I knew you guys would come and share your love and concern! Last but not least, the beautiful picture of the Cardston Temple and message on the back that hangs in our living room. I took it down and read the message again when I got home. Ann was a tremendous example of service, as well as Larry. Ann always had a smile on her face and always looked at the glass half full. She was a true lady in every respect and adored her family. I remember the grandchildren necklace that she wore to church. How she loved her grandchildren. I liked it so well I had to get myself one! I know she is in a wonderful place. We will truly miss her! Thanks, Ann, for all you have done for our family! We will miss you!

Dear Wright family,
I was in Great Falls over the holidays and saddened to read of Mrs. Wright's death in the paper. As a teenaged friend of David and Kevin, I loved visiting the Wright home. It was always a place of great cheer and welcome because of Mrs. Wright's gracious presence. May you find comfort in this time of sorrow.

Dear Wright Family,
I am saddened to hear of your loss. Though we know that it is only a brief separation, there is still a lingering emptiness. Our thoughts and simpathies go out to you at this time. When I had the opportunity to stay at your house in Great Falls many years ago, your mother/wife treated me as one of you and made me feel quite comfortable there. She is a wonderful person, and has raised her children to be just like her.
