Loretta Ferguson Obituary

Loretta (DeWeese) Pate Ferguson, 89, of Great Falls, retired office manager of Bennett Motors, died of natural causes Saturday at a local care facility.
Memorial graveside services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Ulm Cemetery. Croxford Funeral Home and Crematory is handling arrangements.
Survivors include a daughter, Suzanne Pate of Great Falls; sons, Melton Pate and Lee Pate of Great Falls; grandchildren, Kavin (Brenda) Morsette, Gene Sangrey, Danny Sangrey, Keifer Pate, Hannah Pate, Sheryl (Doug) Shew and Bob (Tammie) Pate; a niece, Joann Painter, and six great-grandchildren.
Loretta was born April 5, 1918, in Harlem, Mont., the daughter of Harry and Stella DeWeese. She was raised in Harlem, graduating from high school there. She then attended Great Falls Business College.
She and Pat Pate were married in Fort Benton in 1941. He preceded her in death in 1970. In 1980, she married Howard Ferguson in Jackson, Wyo.; he died in 1990.
Loretta owned L.B. Pate Construction from 1950 until 1964. She was office manager for Bennett Motors for 25 years, retiring in 1978.
She loved gardening, and her yard was included on two of the Paris Gibson garden tours.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a brother, Shirley DeWeese.
