My deepest sympathy to Dick's family and especially Diane Walker and family. Dick and I go back to grade school at the Franklin School. We were classmates, friends and true "West Sider's". You will not be forgotten.

To the family, Diane and many friends of Richard, I share your sorrow. My memories are many, of friendship and loyalty as a fellow guardsman from the beginning and hunting on the treacherous Gardner "Firing Line". Tramping the ramp on Gore Hill to keep the airplanes flying and on my last visit, a lesson in Fly tying and snell hooks for my tackle box. Richard will be missed by all who knew him.

So sorry to see the passing of a fellow co-worker. I had a lot of fun with the 'old man'.

Dick was a good friend for many years some thru the Guard but moreso thru the ROMEO club which met on Tuesday mornings at the Prospector. He had a good sense of humor and was just a straight laced old fashioned friend. He will be missed.

Dick was one of my first supervisors in the Flightline at the Montana Air National Guard. He was a great leader, mentor and friend. He could be the most stubborn and cantankous man I have ever met, but at the same time offer you a smile and a hearty laugh. I will miss seeing Diane and him together.
