Adele Cassidy Obituary
"Heaven gained another beautiful angel after 96 years of quick-witted fun. She finally gets to dance with Jack again. "
Adele Frances Cassidy was born to Anna and Bernard Budde in Lively Grove, Ill., on July 14, 1918. She married John Patrick Cassidy, in Germantown, Ill., on Aug. 28, 1948.
Adele had an adventurous spirit and was a caregiver to all. She graduated from St. John's Nursing School , Springfield, Ill., starting her nursing career in 1940. After traveling and working in Illinois, New York and Wisconsin, Bellin Memorial Hospital became her career home for more than 20 years where she was affectionately nicknamed, "Cass".
She had an amazing ability to turn any stranger into a life long friend. She loved to play cards, gamble, travel, play shuffleboard and was an avid reader.
Adele is survived by her children, Richard (Amy) Cassidy, Kathryn (Jeff) Cassidy, and Karen (Dave) Rozek. Her grandchildren are Kris (Craig) Gossen, Matt (Heather) Cassidy, Teri (Gary) Gereau, Ben (Amanda) Gossen, Craig (Sara) Cassidy, Becky (Jonathan) Dzekute, Kelly (Jarred) Huiras, Jessie (Bill) Baumgartner and John Rozek. Adele also has 14 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her devoted sister and brother, Irene (Joe) Schoendienst and Andrew Budde. She has one godson, James Schoendienst, and many loving nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John, one son, Dennis, and numerous relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, we would like donations made to Bellin College, In Memory of Adele F. Cassidy, 3201 Eaton Road, Green Bay, WI 54311. Your contribution will go to their scholarship fund. Masses can also be made in Adele's memory at Stella Maris Parish - Egg Harbor, P.O. Box 49, Egg Harbor, WI 54209.
Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday Feb. 25, 2015, at Stella Maris Parish-Egg Harbor at Noon. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of Mass.

Peace to all the family. Adele became a Minister of Praise for St. Agnes Parish because her friend, a member of St. Agnes, said Adele was such a good pray-er. Adele was such a fun person, I will miss having her next to me every Thursday playing sheapshead. Your Mom made us all laugh...her wit and humor was the best. My sympathies to you and your families, and my prayers are with you all.
