David Eliason Obituary

Eliason, David "Eli"

David Jon Eliason, 54, Pulaski, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 5, 2016. The son of James Eliason and Patricia (Parmentier) was born September 22, 1962, in Green Bay, and was a 1981 graduate of Green Bay West High School. He met the love of his life, Pam Perra, when they both worked for his dad at Austin's Grocery Stores. They were married on August 25, 1990, in Green Bay. Eli worked as an electrician for VDH Electric in Green Bay for over 30 years. He loved being up north and found peace in the outdoors. Dave was happiest when he was boating, cutting wood, and "tormenting" friends and family with his practical jokes. He leaves endless amusing stories.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Pam; three sons: Tom Eliason, Pulaski, Matthew Eliason, Honolulu, HI, and Andrew Eliason, at home, and the family's furry companion, Morgan; his father and stepmother, Jim and Fran Eliason, Sobieski; his mother, Patricia Parmentier, Green Bay; his siblings: Jim (Ruth) Eliason, Suamico, Amy Eliason, Green Bay, Jennie (Kelsey) Anderson, Green Bay, Mike Eliason (Diane Le Roy), Seymour, Joe Eliason, Green Bay, Tom Eliason (Julie Brusewitz), Green Bay, and Maria (Tim) Havlik, Green Bay; many nieces and nephews; very special friends who are more like family: Dave and Lynn Braatz, Bellevue, Dan and Barb Braatz, New Franken, Tom and Sharon Braatz, Hobart, Shelly Braatz and Al Buchinger, Kaukauna, Jim Graff, Green Bay, Bryan and Erin Stewart, Saukville; aunts, uncles, cousins, godchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Eli was preceded in death by his godmother/aunt, Janice Parmentier; and an aunt, Nan Greiser.

Friends are invited to gather with the family and share memories and stories at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 119 E. Pulaski St, Pulaski, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, Closing Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. The visitation continues after 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the church. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Fr. Patrick Gawrylewski, O.F.M. presiding. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.

The family requests NO FLOWERS, PLEASE.

I just heard from my dad, Tom Schaus. Sorry for your loss. Dave was my Scoutmaster when I was a kid at St. Parick's in GB, he left a lasting memory. He was always fun and a good leader at the same time, a tough act to follow, but he did it.

So sorry to hear about Dave (Santa Claus). I work at Corner Convenience in Crivitz and he stopped frequently. Always smiling, always happy and a pleasure to know. My sympathy to his family at what has to be an extremely difficult time. He will be missed.

We are so sorry for your loss, our prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time. Dave was such a great guy and our boys looked up to him so much. They loved helping him with the woods and making sure his yard was perfect. He sure will be missed ❤

So sorry to read about the passing of David. He went to school with my sons so it's been a long time since I've seen him. But I do remember David being a nice young man. May the fond memories you have of him when you were together ease the pain you have in your heart.
