I was truly saddened to hear of Leona's passing. She had been an inspiration to me while I was in foster care. To all the kids I am at a loss for words. I cannot imagine what you all must be going through. Had your mother as well as you guys not been there, and help guide me. I would not have become the person I am today. Your mom had picked up where my mother could no longer, because of her passing. I have many fond memories of her, and the kind words and encouragement everyone n the Zoeller home bestowed upon me. The world has lost a fine woman indeed.

Leona was the greatest foster mother I ever met and over the course of my career as a social worker I have met many of these wonderful people. May she rest in peace. My condolences to the family.

Leona ... you will be greatly missed, by me, and everybody who knew you. I love your sarcastic sense of humor. I am going to miss our long talks, and watching `Baggage' with you. ( "I'm sorry, but you have too much baggage". )
