Robert Shield Obituary
Green Bay - Robert "Bob" Shield, age 58, of Forest, Indiana passed away peacefully in Green Bay on Sunday, October 14, 2018. He was born August 16, 1960 in Green Bay to John and Carol (Rakow) Shield. Bob graduated from Preble High School with the class of 1978 and later graduated from U.W. River Falls in 1982. Bob moved to Indiana to pursue a career in agriculture and later construction. He owned Shield Construction Co. for the past 20 years. He enjoyed gardening and singing in the church choir.
He is survived by his mother, Carol Shield; brother, Scott (Kris) Shield and his nephews, Thomas (Katie) Shield and Marc (fiancée Cristey Johnson) Shield.
Bob was preceded in death by his father, John "Jack" Shield; his grandparents, John and Fanchon Shield; Al and Ruth Rakow and his aunt, Linda Rakow.
Family and friends are invited to visit at First United Methodist Church, 501 Howe St., Green Bay, on Monday, October 22, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Memorial Service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor David Kalas officiating. Bob will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery.

As we prepare for our 45 year class reunion, I was so sad to hear that Bob passed away.
Swing choir was a richer experience with him in it. I am so sorry and sad to hear he is gone.

We were so sorry to hear the sad news about "Builder Bob." We met Bob when we lived in Indiana. The first time he met Kathy, he asked: "By any chance did you go to Preble High in Green Bay?" We had a "small world moment" when we discovered that we all grew up in Green Bay and that not o only did Bob and Kathy attend the same high school --- he was her sister's Swing Choir partner. We had fun trading stories with him . Our condolences to his family, Greg & Kathy (Gebhardt) Mallon, Racine, WI
