XENIA — Graham T. Byrd, age 84, of Xenia, Ohio passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021. He was born October 23, 1936 in West Liberty, Kentucky the son of Clay and Lizzie Alice (Elam) Byrd. Graham retired as an electrician with Blommel Sign Co. He loved NASCAR and was a member of First Church of Christ. Graham was a devoted grandfather and uncle, who cherished spending time with his family and friends, keeping everyone in the family connected. He especially enjoyed attending his grandchildren's activities. His fun loving sense of humor will be missed by all who were fortunate to know him. He is survived by his wife, Karen (Neal) Byrd, whom he married in 2001; his children: Timothy G. (Donna) Byrd and Kimberly (Keith) Morris; grandchildren: Jordan (Marina), Tanner, Jeromy (Megan), Ryan (Kayla) and Sydney; and great granddaughter: Aubrey; sisters: Ruth and Nancy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Graham was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Nickell Byrd, whom he married in 1959 and passed in 1991; and his siblings: Lawrence, Helen, Marguerite, Merita, Florence, and Lavonna. A service to celebrate his life will be held 1 pm Saturday, October 23, 2021 at First Church of Christ, 441 Ledbetter Road with Rev. Andy Spencer officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the church. If desired, contributions may be made to VITAS Hospice.
