HIGH POINT MR. WILLIAM BILL SWAIN FOX (SANTA), died June 28th, 2015 at High Point Regional Hospital. Mr. Fox was born April 8th, 1939 in Randolph County, a son to the late Wiley H. and Emma Coleman Fox. A resident of this area since 1965, he was a member of Westchester Baptist Church, retired in 2002 from Johnson Controls and was a 32 year retired veteran of the U.S. Navy. He also was active in various organizations including, The Fleet Reserve Association and Woodman of the World where he was a member of both, Tarheel Triad Girl Scouts where he was a longtime volunteer, Boy Scouts of America where he was a Scout Master, American Legion where he was a member and The Moose Lodge where he was a life member. In 1960 he married the former Jewel Rhodes who survives of the residence. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ethel Rice and Alice Giles.Also surviving are five children, Karen Gail Fox of Durham, Dr. William R. Fox and wife Kerry of Midway, John Curtis Fox and wife Ashley of Cary, Stacy Fox Bartels and husband Samuel of High Point and Tracy Fox Phillips of High Point; two sisters, Rosa Mae Garner of Ramseur and Mary Ann Scott and husband James of Greensboro; three brothers, Bob Houston Fox and wife Sue of Greensboro, Jerry Elwood Fox and wife Norma of High Point and Larry Wayne Fox and wife Debbie of Hendersonville; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Westchester Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Peacock officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Westchester Baptist Church Building Fund, 135 Westchester Dr. High Point, NC, 27262 or to Girl Scouts of the USA, 420 Fifth Ave. New York, NY, 10018-2798 or to Boy Scouts of America, 1325 W.
