Julie Mitchell Blakely, 52, went home to be with the Lord on October 25, 2021 at Wesley Long Hospital.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
Julie, you were not just a wife, mother, nana, daughter, and friend, you were so much more. You were a light in a dark room; you were an outreached hand in dark times; you were the laughter in the silence, and you were the glue that held everything together. Most importantly, you were a wife, mother, nana, daughter, and friend; you were amazing at all of them. You will be missed dearly…We love you. She was preceded in death by her grandma Murial Cowart; grandpa Jesse Allen, Sr.; and best friend/sister Barbara Jones.
Julie is survived by her husband Tracey Blakely; her son Joshua Blakely and wife Angel; granddaughter Kayleigh Blakely; father Frank Mitchell; mother Marian Lemons; brother Tony Umbell; sister Sherry Mitchell; bonus daughter/best friend Ashley Caldwell; and a large extended family.
