Bobby L. Scott, 86, of Taylors, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016.

He was the husband of the late Ann Morrow Taylor Scott who went home to be with the Lord on October 12, 2012.

Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Edward Christopher "Buddy" and Willie Kate Mauney Scott.

Mr. Scott was a 1947 graduate of Parker High School a 1949 graduate of Spartanburg Jr. College and a 1956 graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Pharmacy. He received the South Carolina Pharmacy Association Recognition Award in 2004.

He served in the U.S. Army active duty in Korea and Reserve services in the States for three years. He was a member of Taylors First Baptist Church from July 1956 to November 2016, serving as a deacon and a member of the worshipping ministry. He was a member of the choir for 59 years.

He owned and operated Service Pharmacy from 1956 - 1969 and worked for Kash & Karry from October 1, 1969 to 2008. He was a volunteer pharmacist at the Taylors Free Medical Clinic.

Surviving are three sons, Chris (Karen), Stan, and Mark (Beth); three grandsons, Drew (Heather), Drake, Taylor (Casey); and a granddaughter, Brooke; and great grandchildren, Luciann and Sumter. He was predeceased by brothers, Raymond E., Rufus W., Marshall Wade, and sister Eleanor Sue Scott Higgins.

Visitation will be held in the gathering space at Taylors First Baptist Church from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. A private burial will follow. Honorary escorts will be the Adult 3 Men's Sunday School Class.
