I can see from the entries that I am not alone -- Charlie touched a lot of people. I came to know him through an article he wrote and we stayed in touch after. I enjoyed his love of nature, curiosity about the world and his kind and gentle writing style. Wishing his family comfort during this transition period.

I am so sorry for your loss. Please accept my sympathy. We have all lost a great writer. Mr. Sowell, through his words, has taught me many things about our State and surrounding area.
