Richard Hay Obituary

Richard James Hay
February 22, 1947 - May 5, 2025
Richard Hay passed away May 5, 2025.
Born in Seattle, Washington, Richard had lived a full and vibrant life marked by dedication, courage and deep passion.
Richard began his journey with a strong sense of duty and service. In 1967 he served in the US Army during the Vietnam war and was awarded the Bronze star for extraordinary bravery standing his ground for six hours to protect his platoon. Like many of his fellow soldiers he was exposed to agent orange during his service.
Following his military career Richard dedicated over 40 years to Reddot corporation. His work ethic and commitment were hallmarks of his professional life!
In 2006 after retirement he moved to green valley, Arizona with his wife Marjan. Sharing 35 years of marriage with love and companionship.
In retirement, Richard embraced the desert lifestyle and found joy in one of his greatest passions- Golf! He worked at several of the local golf courses and played regularly with is close knit group of friends known as " The Misfits"
Weather on the greens or watching a game from home, sports were a central part of Richard's life. Richard also had a deep affection for animals, especially his cherished chihuahuas, and treasured the many adventures he shared with Marjan and their dogs to Parker, Arizona over the years.
He leaves behind his loving wife Marjan, his children Tiffany, Jennifer, and son Jason and step son Brandon! And many dear friends who miss him deeply!
Tho he requested no formal memorial service, those who knew him are encouraged to lift a glass in his honor, a gesture he would have truly appreciated!
May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
