Kari I am so sorry that you and your and Matthew's family and friends have to go through this. If there is anything I can do please call me. Anytime you need to talk day or night no matter what time just call me. I am praying for you all, that God will comfort where there seems to be none and He will give you strength when you feel you have none and that he will give you all the wisdom and kindness and patients that you will need to raise those babies without their Daddy. I am sending you and Noah and Gabe the biggest, warmest hugs in the world and remember I am here if you need me. I love you guys.

To my friend Matthew, I know you are in heaven with our Lord so I will not worry about you anymore my friend. I will however miss you terribly and I will always wish I had been a better friend to you while you were here. I always thought of you as a big brother you know. I always knew you had my back. I counted on your wise advise and your kind words in trying times. I Love You Matthew and I will see you again when Jesus calls me up.

To say that Matthew was a friend is an understatement, he was much more than that. First and formost he was a husband, caring for his wife, being her friend, her rock. He was a wonderfull father, putting his boys needs before his own, caring for them teaching them about life. He will be missed more than words can describe. He was my neighbor, my buddy, my pal, my best friend. Your with God now, although your no longer here to talk to at the end of the day, I'll be thinking of you often in hopes of a sign that your still listening as you always did so intently.
May God be with the Shoemaker family and bless the children Mathew so truly loved.

So saddened to hear about Matthew. What does one say, to console a loss of a son? I remember seeing him, all smiles as he carried one of his children out of the Pediatrician's office where Lorie and Michael worked. I will remember working with all of your family at Dacula High School functions. He will be greatly missed. Know that I am praying that our God, Who is our comfort and Strength will carry you. Hope that knowing friends and family care will help too.
