News Death Notice

VONDERHAAR, Carl H. age 89 of Hamilton, passed away at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital on Friday, April 12, 2013. He was born in Reading on May 5, 1923 to Fred and Carolyn (Nostheide) Vonderhaar. On August 26, 1950 in Harrison he married Madeleine Crone, and they were happily married for 57 years. Carl was a lifelong farmer. He is survived by his son, Steve (Karen) Vonderhaar; Carol (Robert) Bryce; 3 grandchildren, Amy (Conan) Crum, Matthew, and Michelle Vonderhaar; 2 great -grandchildren, Christopher and Bryce Crum; a sister, Germaine Vonderhaar; 3 brothers, Fr. Gene Vonderhaar, Ray Vonderhaar, and Leonard (Charlotte) Vonderhaar; and a sister-in-law, Aretta Vonderhaar. He was preceded in death by his wife, Madeleine; his parents; sisters, Helen Hoffmann and Imelda Vonderhaar; and brothers, Leo and Winifred Vonderhaar. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 2550 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Ron Combs celebrant and Fr. Gene Vonderhaar concelebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave. Condolences can be made at www.browndawsonflick.com.
