Florence GERADINE Obituary


News Death Notice

GERADINE, Florence Vivian age 86, of Franklin, Ohio, passed away Monday, June 9, 2014 at Atrium Medical Center where she had been a patient for one week. She was born July 2, 1927 in Butler, Pennsylvania, and moved to Carlisle, Ohio when she was a young girl. After her marriage she lived in Dayton and then Huber Heights. Eleven years ago she moved to Franklin to be with her daughter. In her younger years she had been employed at Raymond Bag Company, Eversharp Company, and then at Bear Finder Auto Accessories. Florence enjoyed spending time with her family. Preceding her in death were her parents, Edward Furman and Jessey (Gray) Smith; her husband, Russell Geradine in 2003; three brothers, Bob, Danny and David Smith; and one sister, Mary Lee Phillips. She is survived by one daughter, Karen Geradine Kendrick and husband Harvey; two granddaughters, Nikki Wooldridge, husband Robert and Kelly Oaks, husband Darrell; three great grandchildren, Chase, Savannah and Landon; one brother, Dick Smith; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, followed by services at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Dan Flory officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery. Arrangements by Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.herr-riggs.com
