News Death Notice

TEMAN, Philip I. Age 78, of West Chester, died Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 6:15 a.m. in Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 2, 1930, the son of Albert and Honea (Ruskin) Teman. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army from November 26, 1946 to February 19, 1953 serving in Korea as a rifleman and discharged as a Sergeant. He married Marilyn Felstein in 1953 and she preceded him in death in 1965. He married Joyce Grund on December 24, 1967 in Middletown. He spent most of his career in the credit and banking industry, retiring in 1993. Phil was compassionate, full of love and life, and will be missed every day. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and love of golf, Frank Sinatra (and all forms of music which filled his home), and a good meal (of course, prepared late in the day!) He is survived by his wife, Joyce; five children, Scott Grund and wife Shelley of Greenwood, South Carolina, Charles Grund of Cincinnati, Honi Cohen and husband, Neil of Hamilton, Susan Teman of Cary, North Carolina and Cecilee Harper and husband, Paul of West Chester; nine grandchildren, Chase Grund and wife, Christy, Tyler Grund and wife, Alicia, Chloe Grund, Brian Cohen, Jill Cohen, Jennifer Booe and husband, Nick, Molly Harper, Bren Harper and John Harper and two great grandchildren. Private funeral services for the family will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be given to The Colonial Foundation for the Life Care Fund, 530 Eaton Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio. Online condolences are available at www.weigelfuneralhome.com
