Wendell CHADWELL Obituary

CHADWELL, Wendell H. Age 75 of Brookville, passed away peacefully in his home where he loved to be the most, on Friday, Sept. 23, 2016 after a very long and extremely hard fought battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his wife Karen Ann (Phelps) Chadwell, who was the first love of his life. He is survived by his amazing partner in life and the second love of his life, Sandy Eby, whom he loved more than life itself. Sandy's 2 daughters also survive, Erin Eby and Amber Elkins (Brandon). He thought of them as his own. Wendell is also survived by 2 daughters, Rhonda Jonas and Rene' Chase (Jimmy, who he loved as a son); favorite granddaughter, Jessica Chase; 3 grandsons, Brandon Chase, Cole Chase, Connor Chase; sister, Julia Christy; brother, Don Chadwell; lifelong friend Larry Inman. He had a great love for his grandchildren and loved being their papaw. He loved his horses, golfing, playing poker, and being on his Harley. He treasured the time spent with his golfing buddies which are too many to list and his poker playing guys including his special friend Jen. He had his own unique way of doing things which has made for great stories. He would help anyone that needed anything and was always there for his family. A Graveside Service will be held 1:00 PM Tue. Sept. 27 at Fairview Cemetery in West Alexandria. Arrangements are in care of the GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT RD., BROOKVILLE. E-mail condolences may be sent by going online to www.gilbert-fellers.com. We would ask that you share your special stories so that the family can create their own special book to share for years to come. In lieu of flowers please donate to Brookville HandiVan, Hospice of Dayton, or Shepherds Hands Ministry at Brookville Grace Brethren.

So very sorry for your loss. My name is Gail Heltsley Lutz, the daughter of Bob n Judy Lutz. My dad was good friends with Wendell and he was in my parents wedding. I am the youngest but do remember as a child being at horse shows and Wendell being there. My dad really loved Wendell but wasnt close in their later years. Wendell was always very sweet and funny to me. God bless you all and again so sorry for your loss.
