Anthony Veilleux Obituary

Angels came to take Anthony David Veilleux home on Tuesday August 15,2017. Anthony passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love. Anthony was born on July 27, 1974 to Karen Smith Veilleux. Anthony leaves behind his beloved wife Amy Dana (Kubachka) Veilleux, who has been his caregiver throughout his long battle with cancer. Anthony and Amy's love was admired by many and they shared many great moments in their short fairytale. Anthony is predeceased by his grandparents Lawrence and Alice Veilleux. He is survived by his grandparents Donald Smith, Sr. and Rita, his mother Karen Veilleux and Paul Hansen, his sister Jessica Veilleux, his daughter Kaitlyn Veilleux and son Anthony Veilleux, Jr. Anthony is also survived by his nieces and nephews Michael and Jade Veilleux, Haylee and Justin Seely, Kendall and Mia Kubachka, Ryland Jennings, Jake and Ava Dondero. Anthony was an avid football player at Glastonbury High School and graduated in January 1994. As soon as he could, bold and determined he joined the United States Marine Corps and completed boot camp training at Paris Island. He then went to Twenty-Nine Palms, CA where he graduated from Communication School. He was stationed in Okinawa Japan and was a part of the 9th Comm Bn, 1st SRIG. Anthony then became a Judicial Marshal in Hartford, CT in 2007 and throughout his career he made many everlasting friendships and was always willing to help the community. Anthony loved fast cars, trips to Vermont, spending time with family and close friends, making amazing things out of his woodworking shed and relaxing at the beach. He also loved spending quality time with his best friends John and Jack Gilnack. Anthony also leaves his dogs Mazy, Gunner and many unforgettable memories with his Mini. We would like to thank the entire staff at The Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center, especially Dr. Timothy Hong and his longtime nurse Anne. Also, thank you to the fantastic Nurses and PCA's in CB2 at Hartford Hospital for all the love and support. There will be no calling hours. There will be a Memorial service at South Congregational Church Sunday August 27th at 1 p.m. located at 949 Main Street South Glastonbury, CT. A burial with military honors will follow at Green Cemetery on Hubbard Street. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anthony's memory, can be made to Peter P. Dear Amy Dana, Karen,
I'm sorry for your loss.
It's sad to see a fellow veteran pass away so young and from cancer. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. More has to be done to inform people about foods to avoid and the foods that fight cancer.
Sincerely
Dana

So many ways to describe a great co-worker and friend. Tony was a warrior and a fighter; for himself and for those in need. We often talked about the union's, politics and a little military talk thrown in. He will be greatly missed. Condolences to his wife, children, and family.

Tony was a great person. I have known him for a long time since high school. He and my girls always had a good time in our pool. I will miss him always.
