Arminda da Silva

Arminda do Fetal Carreira da Silva, 91, of Hartford, beloved wife of the late Jose da Silva, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Arminda was a very hardworking person. She loved to shop for bargains. Arminda always walked a lot. She would rather walk than take a ride. Arminda was very religious and faithfully attended Mass at Our Lady of Fatima Church. She worked for Bogner Quality Meats of Manchester until her retirement 27 years ago.

Arminda loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She leaves behind her two sons, Eugene Silva and wife Amelia "Amy" Silva of Farmington and Jose "Joe" Silva and wife Guida Silva of Rocky Hill; her four grandchildren, Jessica Vicente of Bristol, Eric Silva of South Windsor, Kyle Silva and Dillon Silva both of Rocky Hill; four great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Jacob, Julianna and Gavin; her sisters-in-law and additional family members, both in the U.S. and Portugal.

Calling hours will be Saturday, (January 13), from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford, followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 50 Kane Street, Hartford.
