Benjamin Bonafonte Obituary

Benjamin J. Bonafonte, Jr. peacefully passed away after a short illness on 7/9/21 with his wife and daughter by his side. He was predeceased by his parents Benjamin J. Bonafonte Sr. and Hazel Waite Bonafonte. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Amber Campbell Bonafonte, 5 children: Jacquelyn Bonafonte (JoAnn), Donald Wheeler, Dorene Lewis, Alan Spencer (Kim), and John Barnes. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. He is survived by 2 sisters and one brother, Virginia Dunham, Peter Bonafonte, and Joan Bradbury, predeceased by one sister, Claire LaPila. There are aldi numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was a trucker and worked for Concord Steel and Sherrie Cup. He was in the Marines from 1954 to 1957. He's a lifetime member of the Elks in Middletown, CT. Services will be at the convenience of the family. Donations in his memory may be made to The First Congregational Church, Main St., Cromwell, CT 06416.
