Brian F. Gsell

1957 - 2023

Brian F. Gsell, formerly of Tolland, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 16, 2023. He was born in Rockville, CT on May 21, 1957. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Kim Gebron. Brian also leaves behind his daughter Ashley Gsell and her husband Vincent Tiroletto, and his mother, Ruth Gsell. He was predeceased by his father, Werner Gsell.

Brian was the owner of Gsell Consulting, Inc. He traveled extensively in his work as a Professional Engineer, investigating structural fire- and electrical-related incidents. While he made his home in Texas for the past 30 years, he was raised and attended school in CT. He is a graduate of the University of Hartford and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He was also a proud member of Boy Scout Troop #815 in Rockville for many years, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.

Brian leaves two sisters, Debi Wheeler and her husband John, and Diane Hamm. He also leaves five nephews -- Christopher Grant, Gary Hamm and his wife Amy Darling, Anthony Hamm, Derek Wheeler, and Shawn Wheeler, and their families.

Burial will be private. There will be a Celebration of Life gathering on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at the St. Bernard Church Hall in Rockville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Boy Scouts of America Connecticut Yankee Council at 60 Wellington Rd., Milford, CT or CAMO Rescue, P.O.
