Chad Bernard Obituary



Chad Joseph Bernard, 32, of Hartford, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 20, 2017, at his home. Born in Hartford on June 28, 1985, son of Teslyn (Thomas) Bernard and the late Joseph Bernard, he was raised in Hartford and Bristol and was a graduate of Weaver High School. After high school, Chad continued his education at Fox Institute of Business and at Porter & Chester Institute. He worked in the IT Department at the State of Connecticut, Department of Consumer Protection and more recently at Plastic Molding Manufacturing in Berlin. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing video games, basketball, and spending time with his family and friends. Besides his mother, Teslyn Bernard of Hartford, he leaves four sisters, Tiffany N. Bernard of Wethersfield, Alyssa Bernard of Hartford, Evadine Bernard and Nadine Bernard both of Bronx, NY; a brother, Leon Bernard of Trelawney, Jamaica, WI; two nephews, Jova'n M. Hill of Wethersfield and Dayshawn Bell of Bronx, NY; a niece, Kristal Bell of Bronx, NY. His family will receive friends on Saturday, September 2, from 9-10 a.m., followed by a Homegoing Service at 10:00 a.m., at the Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, 570 Tower Ave., Bloomfield. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Bloomfield. The family invites everyone to join them following the services for a repast at The Lodge Banquet Facility, 130 Deerfield Rd., Windsor. My most sincere condolences go out to all those who knew and loved Mr. Chad Bernard. May the God of all comfort provide hope during this most sad and difficult time. God indeed promises in the book of Isaiah, chapter 25, verse 8, that He will indeed "swallow up death forever." What a wonderful promise we all have to look forward to.
