Cindy Liquori Obituary

Cindy A. Liquori, 55, of Suffield, entered eternal peace with God on Friday, December 25, 2020. Born in Hartford on October 4, 1965, daughter of Clair R. Palmer of Windsor Locks and the late David W. Palmer, she was raised in Windsor Locks and was a graduate of Windsor Locks High School, Class of 1983. Cindy was loved by many and had many close, special bonds with her friends, including her special group of friends, "The Blondes with One Brunette," and Katie and Bonnie, her helpers at Cindy's Soap Cottage. She had a special talent for decorating and that was shown in the success of her store and in her beautiful home. Cindy had a heart of gold and generosity that showed the type of person she was. Her heart was big, and her smile and laugh would light up a room. She was a great hostess and the "life of the party," and her family and friends will always remember her wonderful Christmas and New Year's Eve parties. To know Cindy was to love Cindy, she was one of a kind. All of her friends and family will miss her greatly. She leaves behind her mother and best friend, Clair Palmer of Windsor Locks; two brothers, David Palmer and his partner Susan Nowak of Somers, and Kenneth Palmer and his wife Christie of Windsor Locks. She also leaves behind her nephews, David J. Palmer of Windsor Locks, Daniel R. Palmer of Suffield, Aiden Palmer and the Duquette children of Windsor Locks; her "Auntie Judy," of Windsor Locks; and a stepdaughter, Kristin Liquori and her son Jonah of Enfield. Cindy was predeceased by her father, David W. Palmer for whom she was "Daddy's Little Girl;" and her brother, Mark Palmer. Cindy worked as a paralegal for many years and in 2015 she opened her own business, Cindy's Soap Cottage in Windsor Locks. Following her passions for crafts and helping others, she was an immediate success and later opened a second location in East Windsor. Cindy and her mother shared a very close bond. Their relationship was further strengthened when her mother Clair decided to offer her custom aprons, Mother's Apron Strings, in Cindy's store. Cindy was well-known for her generosity and her store allowed her to further help others in the community, especially children. During the months since the outbreak of COVID, Cindy and her mother donated hand sanitizer to first responders and people in the community and made masks for the Windsor Locks and East Windsor Police Departments. In her spare time, Cindy enjoyed going to Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun, and Las Vegas, and doting on her many nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held at St. Mary Cemetery in Windsor Locks. A memorial service to celebrate Cindy's life will be held at a date and time to be announced. Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home in Suffield has care of the arrangements. For online condolence please visit, www.carmonfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Windsor Locks FoodShelf, 50 Church Street, Windsor Locks, CT 06096 or Five Corner Cupboard Food Pantry, 124 Scantic Rd., East Windsor, CT 06088.

Cindy and I lived next door to each other when we were very young. I learned gymnastics from her. We used to practice gymnastics in her back lawn. From those days we formed an incredible bond. We became like brother and sister.
I loved her like a sister. Cindy’s entire family is like my extended family.
Her father’s nickname for me was ,
“ Sloppy Woppy .“ I still smile every time I think of it. I can still picture him saying it to me.
Cindy was such a shining star. Always so happy go lucky. I will miss her smiling face and especially her laugh.
My deepest sympathy goes out to Cindy’s family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I'll remember Cindy for her Kind & Outgoing Good Nature!!! She always made me feel like I was the only one in the room while talking to me!!! Showed me that she was listening to what I had to say.
Cindy was always very thoughtful to my two little girls giving them stuff when they came in to visit.
