Craig Crouse Obituary

Craig Rhodell Crouse, born April 1, 1936, in Drumright, Oklahoma; son of Myrth Martin Crouse and Mary Katherine Mazzo Crouse, predeceased by his first wife, Marian Ciminera Crouse, he was husband to Vivian Hathaway Crouse. He passed away August 23, 2021 peacefully after a brief illness in Farmington, CT. He leaves a sister, Sherry Miller and her husband Earl Miller of Miamisburg, OH. Along with his three daughters; Jill Sczepanski, her husband Daniel Sczepanski of Rowley, MA and their two daughters: Sarah Sczepanski and her husband Benjamin Vanmuysen of New York City and Anna Sczepanski and her husband Benjamin Haaland of New York City; Karan Lane and her husband Edward Lane of West Newbury, MA and their two daughters; Emily Lane and her fiancé, Timothy Carney of Somerville, MA and Victoria Lane and her boyfriend Peter Harsh of Danvers, MA and Dana Fleck and her husband Chad Fleck of Brentwood, NH and Naples, FL. He leaves his beloved wife Vivian and her four children; Deborah Purvin and her husband, Duane and their children; Marissa Baskett and Mac Purvin, of Dallas and a great grandchild Emory Baskett; Donald and Sue Tarinelli and their children; Julia and Rachel of Collinsville, CT; Mark and Gillian Tarinelli and their children; Jake and Zoe; and Tina and Michael Mauss and their daughter Alex and her fiancé, Arjun Patel. Craig graduated from Delaware Valley University with a major in Animal Sciences. His work was his love as he was surrounded by nature in every aspect during his years of work for O.M. Scott and as District Manager for Lebanon Chemical Companies. Craig was a spiritual man, with a strong faith in God; revealed by his active membership in church and volunteer work especially with Habitat. He cherished all the members of his family, including his wife Vivian, daughters and grandchildren. He enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life including cooking, gardening, golf, fishing and boating. His memory will live on in the hearts and stories of his family and his spirit can be felt in every garden. A memorial service will be held on September 11 at 11:00 am at the Avon Congregational Church, Avon, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Avon Congregational Church Memorial Garden or to Heifer International.
