Darlene Carrier Obituary

Darlene (Lange) Carrier, 45, of New Britain, died Sunday, (October 27, 2002) at her home after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of Richard Lange of Newington, and the late Lois (Jennings) Lange. Darlene lived in Newington for most of her life, moving to New Britain 17 years ago. She graduated from Newington High School and Branford Hall Academy, Southington, and was last employed by Grove Hill Medical Center, New Britain. Darlene was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, New Britain. Besides her father, she leaves her two loving daughters, Shelly Carrier and Dawn Carrier, both of New Britain; and her sister, Jeannette Lange of Newington. Her funeral services will be held Thursday, 10 a.m., from the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, followed by services at 11 a.m., at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Franklin Square, New Britain. Interment will be in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington. Relatives and friends are invited to call TODAY, 5-8 p.m., at the Newington Memorial.
