David E. Ingraham

1927 - 2017

David Early Ingraham, 90, of Coventry, was the loving husband of the late Beverly Ingraham passed away on 1 June 2017. He is born in Peabody, Massachusetts, on 1 July 1927, son of the late Marie and James F. Ingraham and late sisters Virginia, Jean, Mary Jane and brother James. He moved to East Hartford and attended high school, enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during WWII on Johnson Island in the Pacific. Upon his return to Connecticut Dave married his best friend and love of his life. He became a salesman for the aircraft industry for more than 60+ years. He raised his family in Vernon and Manchester and later resided in Coventry. Dad, Poppy, Whitie, is survived by their four children and their families: Beth Ingraham former U.N. Officer, David Ingraham, artist and fly-fishing guide, Bradford Ingraham, Account Manager, Mid-Cape Home Centers, South Dennis and his wife Danielle DiManno-Ingraham, with their two children Alexander and Maxwell (South Dennis, MA). Bruce Ingraham, Auctioneer, Ingraham & Co. and Theresa-Frey Ingraham Jeweler, daughters Gretta Ingraham, Artist and Amelia Ingraham Artist and Photographer. David was a kind and loving uncle to all his cousins, nieces and nephews. He was never too busy to lend advice. For the last few years before his "exit, stage right" he was working on a collection of humorous short stories. He was beloved by everybody and will be sorely missed.
