David REOPELL Obituary





REOPELL, David Euclid

David Euclid Reopell, 63, of Bolton, formerly of Windsor, passed away Wednesday, (August 21, 2013) at Manchester Memorial Hospital with his family at his side. David was born in Manchester, November 1, 1949, son of the late Carson A. Reopell, Sr. and Katherine H. (Boyd) Reopell. He was raised in Bolton and graduated from Howell Cheney Technical School, Manchester. He served his country with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War as a Damage Control Operator and had worked for more than 25 years as a Custom Woodworker for various companies. His love for the outdoors included, fishing, bird watching and many trips to Cape Cod where he enjoyed walking the beaches with his metal detector. David is survived by his loving family, his son, Andrew J. Reopell, his wife MaryBeth, and her son, Justin Hills of Bolton, two brothers, Carson A. Reopell, Jr., his wife Debra, and his children, Jennifer, Jared and Jamie Reopell of Vero Beach, FL, and Trent G. Reopell, his wife Betty, and their children, Anthony and Emily Reopell of Bolton. Also surviving are aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Besides his parents, David was predeceased by his sister, Susanne M. Reopell.
Family and friends are invited to attend memorial callings on Sunday, August 25, 2013 from 6-8 pm at Holmes Funeral Home 400 Main Street Manchester. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Monday, August 26, 2013 at 10:30 am in Bolton Center Cemetery, 32 Hebron Road Bolton, CT. Memorial contributions may be made to Support.
