Still think of you often Deirdre! You left a lasting, positive impression on me and so many others. I know you are dancing, painting, and having long intense conversations with God, Dave, and the angels on the most profoundly beautiful beach in heaven. XOs

Appreciation of your talent lives on. A few weeks ago a leather purse that you handcrafted (with your Accowtrements business card inside) resurfaced after many years of hiding. It was as if you were calling to me. Although we met only briefly when I purchased the bag in the 80's, some 30 years ago, your spirit called to me. I am using it today and remembering you in my prayers. God Bless and keep you in her arms, Deirdre. Love, Joette

You have left us all with an emptiness, Deirdre. You were a queen among women. Your heart embraced everyone in need and never asked for anything in return. You saw the good in everyone, and you gave wholly, selflessly, with generosity and compassion. You are always in my heart, and could never be forgotten. We are all lucky to have had you in our lives.

Mom, losing you has shaken the earth beneath my feet, and I can't help but feel that I am about to crumble to pieces. You built my foundation though, and I know that because of your guidance and support, I am strong enough to withstand this earthquake. I love you more than words will ever be able to express.

Farewell my beloved sister and friend

The legacy that will endure from her generosity, love, talents, humor, compassion, and a thousand other adjectives can only build on her spirit that remains within all the people that knew her and loved her. She walked around in mighty big shoes that will be very hard to fill.

She will be remembered and missed.

When the winter's wind and sun's powerful shine brought the whole neighbor hood of South Whittlesey down with it, the light of Deirdre Broderick's smile would always light the way. Deirdre was the most modest, intelligent, and beautiful woman i have ever met. Throughout my years of knowing Deirdre, she has done nothing but made my child-hood memories better. After work each week or so, Deirdre would bring me home some cardboard boxes so i could build "castles" with them. Also, Deirdre would lend me her classic "Nancy Drew Series" so i could enjoy a good read as a child. These small things are what made life worth living. As i can see it now, we are all in loss of such a beautiful person, but the memories of her well-known "small things" will always live on. Every Christmas my father would snow-blow Deirdre's sidewalk. Each time, Deirde made my father's small favor worth it all with a warm smile and friendly conversation. Every night before i go to bed, i look out my window and see Deirdre going through her daily routine in the yard. They say the good die young, this is definitely that situation. Rest in peace Deirdre, i love you.

I am so sad to be writing this, knowing I will never see Deirdre again. I had just re connected with Deirdre 2 weeks ago after about 14 years of being out of touch. She actually called me to say she had found some pictures of us as children and wanted to send them to me. We talked on the phone for at least an hour that night and planned to get together and stay in touch. We first met in Paramus New Jersey in the 1950s (time sure flies!) when we were just little girls and grew up together, going camping, to the beach, and getting together through the years as our parents were great friends and we kids were about the same age. I am so glad she called me and I was able to re connect and share some great memories with her. I am so sorry for her children at this time as I feel a mom is the glue that holds a family together and I'm sure your mom was your glue. Stay close, honor her in your memories,at happy and sad times- we will not forget her.

I am so saddened by Deirdre's passing. As a neighbor in Paramus, New Jersey, I met Deirdre very shortly after she arrived in this world and watched her grow into the fine young woman she became. While the miles have separated our families over these many years, I thankfully had news of Deirdre on occassion. Her departure from us in the prime of her life is a tragedy to those who loved her. I extend my sincere condolences to all the family.

I met Deirdre at Butler Paint, and later, while working there myself, she taught me all I know about the art of framing. After I left Butler, she told me about the possition I currently hold at a frame shop in Fairfield. We had been trying to carve out time to get together soon, and I had been missing seeing her.
Deirdre was a lot of fun, very knowledgable and creative. We became friends quickly, and she supported me in some of my personal endeavors. Deirdre was always a very loving, caring and helpful person. She was always thinking of her family talked about them all the time. She always did her best for everyone. She was well liked by all her clients, associates and friends. Her passing is very hard to understand, and I will miss her very much.

Deirdre E. Broderick:
I knew her from our library book club. Always friendly, energetic, wonderful with people. An animal lover like myself and a compassionate human being. I am blessed to have known her, interact with her, smile and laugh with her. God bless you, Deirdre.
I will miss you.
