Delores Quicquaro Obituary



Delores Quicquaro, 81, formerly of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at The Hospital of Central Connecticut, Bradley Memorial Campus in Southington. She was born July 17, 1933 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Frank and Christine (DeSantis) Quicquaro. Delores was educated in Waterbury Schools and graduated from Wilby High School in 1951. She was a very active participant in the choir at Mill Plain Union Church. Delores was employed by Timex for 20 years and retired from the Colonial Bank & Trust. In her free time, she loved to sing. Even recently, as part of The Alzheimer's Resource Center's music therapy program, it was said that she touched many people with her kind heart and beautiful voice. Delores leaves a sister, Josephine Scricca of Hobe Sound, FL; and two nephews, Joseph A. Scricca also of Hobe Sound, FL, and Anthony P. Scricca of Charlotte, NC. Ms. Quicquaro's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and the music therapists at The Alzheimer's Resource Center in Plantsville, CT, for all of their genuine love, care and support during this difficult time. Arrangements- Funeral services for Delores will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Resource Center, 1261 S. Main St. Plantsville, CT 06479 or to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave. is assisting the family with the arrangements.
