George Bagdasarian Jr.

George Bagdasarian, Jr., 90, of Farmington, formerly of Newington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 4, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Krekian) Bagdasarian for 51 years. Born in Hartford, son of the late George Bagdasarian, Sr. and Carolina (Chwalek) Bagdasarian, he was raised in West Hartford and resided in Newington for 60 years. George honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was employed with the Dept. of Transportation for 46 years until his retirement. He was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed visits to Elmwood Bakery. He will be remembered as a devoted and loving father, for his great sense of humor and for his caring and helpful nature. He leaves behind his two daughters, Laura Pelletier and her husband Richard of Lake Placid, FL, and Susan Callahan of Vernon, and many nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends. He was predeceased by his brother Ed Bagdasarian and his son-in-law, John Callahan. He will be laid to rest privately in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington.
