Gregory Chisar Obituary
Gregory S. Chisar, Sr., 58, of Bristol, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning March 17, 2016 at the Hospital of Central CT, New Britain General Campus. He was the husband of 35 years to Rose (Mastroianni) Chisar. Gregory was born in New Britain on May 30, 1957 son of the late Joseph and Ida (Konishesky) Chisar. For many years he was a truck driver for several companies. He enjoyed fresh water fishing and being with his black toy poodle, "Leah". Besides his wife, Gregory leaves his twin sons Gregory Stephen Chisar, Jr. and Anthony Joseph Chisar both of Bristol; brother Joseph Chisar of Granby; sisters Jane Rutkowski and her husband Bill and Joan Chisar all of Bristol; and several nieces and nephews. Gregory's funeral will begin on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 9:15 a.m. from O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville/Bristol and proceed to St. Anthony Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Committal service and interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
