Kenneth AYLETT Obituary

AYLETT, Kenneth F. Kenneth F. Aylett, 85, of Bristol, widower of Martha (Beyer) Aylett, died on Friday (July 9, 2010) at Amberwoods of Farmington. Kenneth was born in England on October 30, 1924 and was a son of the late Frank and Elsie (Booth) Aylett. A long time Bristol resident, he worked in spring manufacturing for 50 years with 40 of those years with Dayon Manufacturing of Farmington before retiring at the age of 82. He was a member and at one time very active at St. John Episcopal Church, Bristol. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II and he enjoyed gardening and yard work. Kenneth is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bradford and Monica Aylett of New Britain; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Barry Douyard of Bristol and Holly and Albert Rozman of New Britain; two brothers, Richard Aylett of Texas and Edward Aylett of Bristol; two sisters, Kathleen Damuck of Wallingford and Irene Anderson of Ohio; four grandchildren, Stacey, Eric, and Kyle Douyard and Justin Aylett and his wife Kendra; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Gloria Catucci. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (July 13, 2010) at 10 a.m. from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to St. John Episcopal Church, Bristol for a Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Peacedale Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday between 5-8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., I-91 Tech Ctr., Rocky Hill, CT 06067-3045.
