Maria FEDOROWSKY

FEDOROWSKY, Maria Maria Apuchtin Fedorowsky 77, of West Hartford, passed away on Tuesday (May 17, 2011) after a long battle with kidney disease. She is survived by her devoted partner of 12 years, Paul Carbone, and sons Serge Fedorowsky, of Avon, CT and Alan Fedorowsky of Arlington, VA. Son Andrew passed away in 2010. She leaves behind four grandchildren, Kyle and Arianna Fedorowsky of Enfield, CT and Serge and Andrea Fedorowsky of Paonia, CO, and two daughters-in-law. Born to Russian parents, Serge and Helen Apuchtin, her father was a colonel in the Russian Tsar's Royal Guard and her mother an Oxford-trained educator. They moved to New York City after World War II where she met Anatole Fedorowsky whom she married in 1952. She was widowed in 1989. Maria was a loving mother, homemaker and talented interior designer. She leaves behind countless close and loving friends who could always look to her for her keen wit and sage advice. All of us who knew and loved her will keep Maria's memory alive. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 21, at 10 a.m. at St. Panteleimon Russian Orthodox Church 19 Becket St., Hartford.
