SWIDER, Marie (Caramazza) Marie (Caramazza) Swider, 85, of West Suffield, beloved wife of Chester Swider for 61 years, died peacefully on Friday, (August 29, 2008),surrounded by her family. Born in Enfield to the late Giuseppe and Filippa Caramazza, she worked at the Springfield Armory and Suffield Public Schools in the Cafeteria. She loved visiting with friends and family especially at the local coffee shops, playing cards, going to the casinos and watching reruns of Full House. Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter, Sharon Akkouris of West Suffield, two sons, Ronald Swider of West Suffield and Mark Swider of Windsor Locks, a brother, James Caramazza and his wife Bunny of West Suffield, ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a son, Donald Swider, three brothers, Charles, Joe and Sam, and four sisters, Carmella, Rosie, Josephine and Theresa. Family and friends may gather Wednesday, September 3, at 9 a.m. at the Heritage Funeral Home, 1240 Mountain Rd, West Suffield., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at 10 a.m. at sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Suffield. Her family will receive friends Tuesday, from 4-8 p.m. at the Heritage Funeral Home.
