LEINER, Michael
Michael Leiner, 61 of Bolton, loving husband for 24 years of Sharon (Wandzy) Leiner, died at home Wednesday (January 11, 2012) with his family by his side after a battle with cancer. Mike was born in Hartford on March 26, 1950 to the late Carl F. and Catherine (Kurys) Leiner and was a lifelong Bolton resident. He served in the US Navy on the USS Luce (DLG-7) during the Vietnam Era and has been a computer programmer for CIGNA Insurance. Mike was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a communicant of St. Maurice Church in Bolton. With his wife he is survived by his loving daughter, Stephanie Leiner; three sisters and their spouses, Carol and James Schraffenberger, Diane Leiner and Charles Eykyn, Audrey and Robert DeBlasio; and his brother, Andrew Leiner. Besides his parents Mike was predeceased by a sister and a brother, Kathleen and John.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Jan. 14, at 10 a.m. at St. Maurice Church, 32 Hebron Road, Bolton. (All go directly to the church). Burial with military honors will follow in Bolton Center Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Watkins Funeral Home, 142 East Center Street, Manchester.
