Patricia J. (Adams)
Patricia J. (Adams) Leonardo, 83, wife of the late James P. Leonardo, passed away on Tuesday, (February 14, 2012). Patricia was born in Meriden, to Dr. Everett L. Adams and Doris Adams on June 12, 1928. She was a communicant of Holy Angels RC Church and a member of the Young at Heart. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Meriden Senior Citizens and was a volunteer with the Meriden Soup Kitchen. Patricia enjoyed life. She and her husband traveled the Northeast camping with the Star Craft Camping Club. She loved her summer cottage at Leetes Island in Guilford and spent many happy days there with her family and friends. A lover of animals, she shared daily life with her beloved cat Oreo. She is survived by: son James D. Leonardo and his wife Wendy of Enfield, daughter, Marie Quick and her husband Russell of Deep River; seven grandchildren, James J., Amanda, Christina and Danielle Leonardo, Lauren, Ryan and Michael Quick. She is also survived by her brothers, Everett and Edgar, both of New Jersey.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 10:15 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden, and at 11 a.m. at Holy Angels Church, 585 Main St., South Meriden for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, February 17th from 4-7 p.m. Should friends desire, contributions in her memory may be made to the Meriden Humane Society 311 Murdock Ave., Meriden, CT 06450 or to the Meriden Soup Kitchen, c/o First Baptist Church, 460 Broad Street, Meriden, CT 06450. www.jferryfh.com
