My sincere condolences to you and your family. I share your grief since Dick was a life-long friend and classmate. Dick and I were pals from grammar school through college (Fairfield) and we shared many fun times together during those care-free years. We played various pick-up sports games with other classmates - I remember walking to Churchill Park once to play tennis with him, but only after we raked the Fall leaves off the court! Since I lived down the street (Robbins Ave.) from him, Dick often gave me rides to Newington high school in his '51 Ford coupe. Unfortunately, I didn't keep up with future events in his life, having ventured off to CA after graduation to start my career. Regardless, I 'll always remember the youthful days that we were able to spend together.
Requiescat in pace amicus meus!

Melissa & Family,

I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your father. Drew shared your memories with me, and it sounds like he was an amazing man, and you a very lucky daughter.

You look very much like him!

I hope you find peace in those memories and knowing he is free from the disease. He's probably got a 9 iron in his hand and working on a hole-in-one.

Dick was one of my very best friends throughout high school and many, many, years later. You could always count on him, day or night! He was just a great guy!. Will love you forever, dear friend, you suffer no more. Rest in Peace.
