Stephen F. Friedrich

Stephen F. Friedrich, 78 of Coventry, CT, beloved husband, father, and grandfather departed this world on October 11, 2021. He is survived by his loving family: his wife of 53 years, Lucille Friedrich, son Stephen Friedrich of Tolland, daughter Lisa Dutton and her husband Randall of Tolland, and two precious grandchildren Sierra and Hunter Dutton. He also leaves a brother Kenneth Friedrich of Athens, GA and his favorite uncle Andrew Ashland of Rockville, CT. Steve graduated from Windham Technical School and served in the US Navy. He began his career at Pratt Whitney in East Hartford and worked as general maintenance foreman for 32 years. He retired at 55 to spend time with his wife and travel. They enjoyed trips to Cancun, Canada and Costa Rica. A highlight to their years of travel included cruises to the Caribbean, a European River Cruise and a 50th wedding celebration cruise to Alaska with family. Steve was a master craftsman, a handyman always willing to help others, a talented mechanic, and a man that devoted meticulous precision to anything he touched. He enjoyed time spent with his garage buddies in Ellington, breakfast with his Pratt and Whitney friends, and events with the Couple's Club members. Burial will be private.
