Sylvia V. Palmer

Sylvia Venia Palmer, 58 of Manchester, CT beloved daughter of Clauzelle (Hicks) Palmer of Manchester, CT and the late Kenroy Palmer. Sylvia was predeceased by two, brothers Cleophus Hicks of North Carolina and Allan Palmer of Hartford. She was raised in Hartford and was a graduate of Bloomfield Public High School, class of 1978. After high school she attended UCONN and received her Bachelor of Science Degree. She was employed for 32 years with Cigna Insurance. Sylvia leaves to mourn her passing her sister, Gwendolyn (Hicks) Shelton, of Fultondale,GA ,three brothers, Michael (Alma) Hicks Sr. Manchester, CT, Rev. Roy Steven (Kay) Palmer of Sedalia, Missouri, Curtis Palmer of Manchester, CT, three nieces, LaMeca R. Spencer, Birmingham AL, Ashley D Hicks of East Hartford, CT , Alisha Palmer of St. Louis, Missouri, three nephews; Fred L Spencer Jr,of Birmingham AL, Michael Hicks Jr. of Hartford CT, Brandon Shelton,of Cambridge MA, and great nephew, London C. Alvelo, of, East Hartford, CT, Special friends Brenda Gladney and Hazel Brown, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 12:00 with an 11:00 am calling hour at The Lodge Community Chapel , 130 Deerfield Rd, Windsor, CT.. Burial to follow at Mt.
