Thomas A. Zaleski

Thomas A. Zaleski, 70, of Newington, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband and soul mate of Noreen L. (Carlson) Zaleski for 48 years. Born and raised in New Britain, son of the late Alexander and Stella (Maciora) Zaleski, he was a 1963 graduate of Newington High School and Porters School of Design in Rocky Hill. He was a longtime Newington resident and was employed by New Britain Machine for many years. Thomas had a love for cars and enjoyed spending time fixing and tinkering with them. Along with his wife, he leaves his son David T. Zaleski, his daughter Cheryl B. Thomas both of Newington and his grandson Jake Fucci of Milford. He also leaves his two brothers Roger Zaleski of Newington and Alan Zaleski and his wife Lucy of Norfolk, VA, and his nieces and nephews, Kimberly Joslyn, and Stephanie Harrell, A. Christopher Zaleski and Tiffany Humphrey. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law Beverly Zaleski. His funeral service will begin on Wednesday, July 2nd, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1655 Main St., Newington. He will be laid to rest in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington. Relatives and friends are invited to call Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington.
