Ursula NEUMANN Obituary

NEUMANN, Ursula A. Ursula A. Neumann, 83, of Newington, died on Tuesday (June 15, 2010) at Hartford Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Rudi Neumann for the past 60 years. Born and raised in Germany, daughter of the late Nicholas and Berta (Hartman) Beyer, she came to the United States in 1956, residing in Newington since 1967. Ursula retired from Avery Heights, Hartford, after 25 years of employment, and was a member of the Leiderkrantz, Newington. She enjoyed creating crocheted and knitted gifts for her family and friends. A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she leaves her daughter Hanna Botticello and her husband Michael of Berlin; and two sons Ben Neumann and his wife Pam of New Britain, and Ronald Neumann of Newington; three grandchildren Lisa Martin and her husband Leon, Gregory Botticello, and Kristine Neumann; and four great grandchildren Leon, Keionna and Tyler Martin, and Devon Willis. She also leaves two sisters and brothers-in-law Gisela and Harry Mueller of Newington, and Helen and Melvin Rand of Guilford, NH; several sisters and brothers in Germany; and many nieces and nephews. Ursula's family wishes to extend its great thanks and appreciation to the staff on Bliss 5 at Hartford Hospital and to Dr. Diamond for all of the care they gave to her. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday (June 19, 2010) at 12 p.m. at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, with the Rev. Jeremy Almarode officiating.
